Summary of events of the last 6 months or so

July 14
Today is Bastille Day, the French July 4th. We planned a picnic at Cap Blanc Nez with some of our church people, a cape on the English Channel where on a clear day; you can see the English coast. But today the weather is cold and rainy, so we started calling the different ones, and it has been decided that we will picnic at Gregoire and Christina Chimots and if the weather permits, go to the cape in the afternoon.
July 4th
We were at our fellowship of churches annual convention this last week-end. It was good to see many of our brothers and sister in the faith, that were there. The theme was on "Fellowship" taken from 1 Jean. Praise the Lord for the safe trip there and back.

June 30th

Herve Ghesquiere grew up as a friend of Mrs Pier's family that attends our church here in Lille. He and one of her sons were good friends. We have prayed in our church many times during the last year and a half for his liberation (he is a French journalist and has been a hostage in Afghanistan) and today we praise the Lord that he is now free.
June 27th
We had a concert with the Musical Mission Team from Bob Jones. There were between 60 and 70 people present, with about 1/3 were not born again believers. We had personally 5 of our neighbours and our dentist that were present. One man came who had found a flyer on the ground. Please pray that there will be follow up with some of these people.

June 26th

Please pray for the concert Monday evening here in Lille. The Mission Musical Team from Bob Jones will be with us. Please pray that many will attend. We are borrowing a social center for the occasion.
June 12th
Praise the Lord we had 4 adults and 2 children as visitors for the singing group from Crown College this morning...
May 28th
Tomorrow is mother's day here in France; as usual we will be offering a rose to each mother who is present. Then, in months that have 5 Sundays, we have a fellowship meal, since tomorrow will be a 5th Sunday, if the weather permits, we will be having a church picnic otherwise, and we will eat in our church hall. Pray that this will be a blessing to everyone.
May 26th
A few special prayer request for our ministry here in Lille, France:
June 12th we will have a trio here from
Crown College
June 27th we will have the
Mission musical team here from Bob Jones.
Pray that these two musical events will give us opportunities to share the gospel with those who do not know our Savoir.
We are going to use the social center near the church. It can hold between 300 and 500 people. Pray that there be a good assistance.
May 23rd
Tomorrow, May 24th, Judy and I will have been married for 31 years. I still love her and I am looking forward to the next 31 years together!
May 14th
Please pray for Judy's monthly ladies' Bible study this afternoon, for our regular Sunday service tommorrow morning here in Lille, France as well as the once a month service in English that we will be having tomorrow afternoon. Also pray for a brother in Christ, Reynald that is having difficulties sleeping and with depression.

May the Lord bless each of you for this Easter. Remembrer Christ is risen!
April 6th
Just a short up date, we had no visitor Friday and Saturday evening to our evangelistic meeting, then we had 3 visitors for our Sunday afternoon meeting. Thank you for your prayers. Do pray that we will have a follow up contacts with these visitors.

April 1st
We are having 3 evangelistic meeting this week-end. The theme is "The Bible answers today's questions". Tonight I will be sharing "Man from the past and modern man", tomorrow evening it will be "God is the same yesterday, today and forever", and Sunday afternoon, Olivier Bourrel will speak on "The Bible speaks of our time". We will have distributed about 6000 filers by the end so pray that we will have some visitors and that hearts may be touched by the gospel message that will be presented each time.

January 24th
We had a busy week. Monday, the van that the Apollos group is using had a major problem and we need to find a replacement. Spent some time looking for one, but then on Thursday, I went to our annual pastor's meeting for our alliance of churches. It went well, the Alliance is proposing to buy a van that can be used by the different groups that may need one, (Apollos, the discovery trip, mission trips, and the camp, etc) I got back Saturday night, preached Sunday morning and taught the Sunday afternoon Bible study. We have the Apollos group here this week, then they will be travelling for almost a month before returning here. Keep us in your prayer.

January 6th
We have the Apollos group arriving here this evening and they will base out of Lille for the next three months and will be visiting several other churches for evangelistic outreach. Pray that their time with us will be a real blessing.
December 31st
We want to wish each of our friends a very special New year, May our Lord bless and guide each one.
December 30th
Please pray for this Sunday as we will be having our New Year's meal after the church service. For the moment, we have 32 adults and 16 kids signed up for the meal. Pray that this will be a blessing. Also pray for the Apollos program that will arrive next Thursday and be spending 3 months with us.
December 17th
This Sunday, we will be having our annual Christmas program in our church here in Lille, France. Please pray that the visitors will come and understand the true message of Christmas.
